12/17/2015 Order filed. This is an appeal from a civil harassment restraining order entered against appellant Vincent Weller nearly 10 months ago, in February 2015, and this appeal has been pending in this court for more than seven months. The appellate record consists mainly of a relatively short (75-page) reporter's transcript of the relevant hearing in the trial court. The court previously granted Weller two extensions of time totaling 120 days to file his opening brief after he reported that he was in the process of moving and that preparing a brief without the assistance of an attorney was challenging. The court's most recent order granting appellant's second request for an extension stated, "No further extensions will be granted." In his latest, third request for an extension of time, Weller seeks an additional 62 days in which to file his opening brief, and he provides essentially the same reasons for needing an extension. In the request, appellant incorrectly answered "no" to the question whether the court had marked any previous extension "no further." For lack of good cause shown, Weller's third request for an extension of time is denied. (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 8.63(b).) If appellant's opening brief is not filed within 15 days after the date of this order, the appeal will be dismissed. (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 8.220(a)(1).)
