11/12/2014 Under consideration by Panel. (Kafker, J., Cohen, J., Vuono, J.).
01/14/2015 ORDER: It has come to the court's attention that the Supreme Judicial Court heard arguments in October 2014 on two cases that involve application of the recently amended alimony statute. The issues in these cases are similar to those raised in the instant case. In the interests of judicial economy, it is hereby ordered that appellate proceedings in the instant case are stayed until seven days after the Supreme Judicial Court has issued a decision in Rodman v. Rodman, SJC-11726, and Doktor v. Doktor, SJC-11727. The appellant is to file a status report within seven days of the issuance of the court's decisions and at that time may request leave to file a supplemental memorandum of law. At any point during the pendency of this appeal either party may file a motion to vacate the stay for good cause shown. So ordered. By the Court (Kafker, Cohen & Vuono, JJ. [1]) *Notice. Footnotes: [1] The panelists are listed in order of seniority.
05/22/2015 Decision: Rule 1:28 Judgment dismissing complaint for modification of alimony affirmed (Kafker, Cohen, Vuono, JJ.). *Notice.
05/22/2015 Memo: Stay vacated in footnote of 1:28.
06/19/2015 RESCRIPT to Trial Court.
